Beavers From Mars is an alternative rock band based in Trento, Italy.
The band consists of Giacomo Turra (guitar, vocals), Francesco Weber (guitar, piano), Daniel Kasal (bass guitar, vocals), Mario Pizzini (sax) and Giacomo Meroni (drums).
Turra, Weber and Kasal met each other for the first time during high school. When Meroni joined the trio in 2015, they took up a career as cover band. The main influences were Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand and The Beatles. Satisfied by this project, the band started soon enough to write own songs, to move forward in the music career and give a more personal view in the music played. After the first performances in 2016, keyboards and sax became part of the rhythm section, bringing great changes in the band’s writing process and introducing influences from 60's and 70's psychedelic rock.
In September 2017, the band released Landing on Planet Earth, its first independently released EP. As debut studio album, Landing On Planet Earth represents the different sides of the band sound, exploring blues, garage rock, funk and rap.
The music video for the single “Tyranny of the Ordinary” was directed by the young photographer and artist Nikodem Wrobel and published on YouTube in November 2017.
In November 2018, the band releases its first new song after more than one year, “Rattlesnakes”.
